I guess its the later, please proof me wrong, but I leaving the pile of dust alone. Or are they are too deprived of attention, that they will cause unnecessary attention grabbing? The games was not up to the hyped standards at release, or even OK standard, but its 52 months after the game release, another game was released and next title is coming out in 3 months, some people need a new pile of dusts to beat on. If you are M, you still can play some minor factions with mods, to play a minor with different culture and temples, like Bethynia, A faction with Eastern factional culture but has Hellenic temples, or pretty much most of the minors, even Aridai and Ordysian, bad spelling, which were barbs with Hellenic culture and temples, before the DLC. TW is known for the battles, EU is like historical Sims. EU and TW are historical based games, EU is historical hands on, while TW is historical based, and most important of all, to some group of players, the battle. I like both genres, but you can't compare grape and grapefruit, they are just not the same, even though both have grape in their name. Over 100? Forgot how many factions exist in the game, will be just too much.Īs for EU, haven't touched the stuff since EU:Rome. I just want to point out it's not possible to be this diverse and still allow you to play all factions, due to all those intro adviser speech.

Paradox MAKES stuff and sells to the playerbase be it full blown expansions or DLCs revolving around sprites, music or portraits etc.ĬA treats their player base like dirt, just because you got used to it it doesn`t mean it`s ok or the rest of us can`t see it. If they want to make money they should ADD stuff to it, not lock players and sell it peace meal. Sparta, Athens and Epirus should have been in the game from the start, as a matter of fact all factions should have been playable from the start. We aren`t talking about generic faction here or some factions that players don`t want to play that much with. So blocking the player from using content that is in game is not mean ?

They have been ignorant, condescending and at times deceitful, but they have never been mean. Not mean ?

Im not going over CA's faults in the 900th post about it, But CA have never been mean to their playerbase, ever. Having them as DLCs afterwords make sense. Sparta,Athens and eprius were pre-order bonuses to those of us who did pre-order the game. Sparta, Athens and Epirus are already in game at the release they are just blocked from being played so that the player pays !ĭon`t you compare PDS to CA, PDS doesn`t sell unfinished games and than makes you pay so that you can use some factions ! PDS doesn`t lock factions behind FIRST DAY DLC, if I am a masochist and want to play Albania, I can, I`m not restricted to France, England, Spain, Venice, Austria, Muscovy and have Sweden, Brandenburg and Poland as first day DLC !

PDS makes expansions that add estates to the game so that you can balance between Aristocrats, Burgers and Clergy, add new trade routes or new mechanics for hordes like raising and pilings and this is for EU4, for CK2 they added sublayers of intrigue of how to rule your realm, rise from a count all the way to an emperor while focusing on your FAMILY and not your country. The rest are sprite or music packs that you don`t need, in EU4 I only need the rock music pack, I don`t bloody care how my spirits look but others care.

Paradox have about 40 DLC for each game. They do but of those like 8 are expansions that change the game more than Attila changed Rome 2.
